Satori

It is a Japanese word derived from Zen Buddhism. The ultimate purpose is to enable the individual to see the world in a completely new, holistic way. This is possible based on an absolute conscious presence in the present moment HERE AND NOW.

Satori is a brief experience of complete peace in the body for a few seconds, it means that there is no room for any kind of un-balance, non-harmony or non-health… The continuous constant experience of Satori can be called enlightenment. Satori is experienced by the disciple with occasional transitions from mental noise (for our thinking is constantly working) to absolute calm and power. During meditation, a person seeks Satori or peace and quietness within himself. In other words, it’s a mind-emptying!

This absolute state of peace and perfect harmony is the natural state of man, but even one such conscious experience of this perfect serenity (Satori) can change us for just a few seconds, forever. However, this condition does not affect a person by itself, it must be pursued. As if we were wading into a lake, our understanding grows deeper with each new step. As the parable tells, reaching a satori is like learning to walk. The child takes a few steps but falls; and eventually learns to stand and walk without flinching (Satori).
